Hi everyone! Apart from studying Zeitgeschichte / History of the Contemporary World and Economic History I'm currently working part-time at the Historisches und Völkerkundemuseum St. Gallen as a Freier Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter - strangely enough primarily with art from the 19th and 20th century.
I'm at the moment mainly interested in the History of Medicine, because it's a immensely complex and multifaceted field of study. My current works in progress are a paper utilizing nurse's narratives to tell the story of psychiatric patients in mid-twentieth century Canada and a study concerning the historical works of the Doctors' trial.
For this course I'm looking forward to learning about new ways of working and conveying history as well as gaining some technical skills. During my studies I've come into contact with some digital methods, primarily with basic data management and presentation in Microsoft Excel and very rudimentary coding in Python.
In my free time I play guitar and Floorball, take pictures, and read.
The results of my mandatory singing evaluation are still pending, so I will deliver them at a later point of the semester.
