Crusader Kings 2 is free and also a game about history
Far be it from me to suggest you don't have enough to do during these times, but playing a bit of video games can be a great way to relax in a way that feels productive. Luckily for us, we can incorporate our historical pursuits into our free time too! The game Crusader Kings 2 has become free recently. CK2 is a strategy game where you play as a medieval king. It's notable over many other strategy game because it is notoriously complicated and detailed, and much of its strategizing is based on marriage, diplomacy, and analyzing the characters' personalities. For you as history students, this game should be quite interesting for its view on how things happen and don't happen in history. Games about history tend to have a very simplistic view on historical causality and CK2 is notable for trying, but probably not altogether succeeding, to go the opposite way. Maybe it will give you some ideas for a discussion.
